Amazing Journey

The Amazing Journey is an audio-visual presentation that takes a journey through Bible Times.  Throughout the journey the audience will hear Bible stories, meet Bible characters and even have a chance to experience ‘Biblical Culture’ through tasting the kind of food eaten in those days and dressing up in typical Biblical fashion.

THE AMAZING JOURNEY RETURNS

Yes, it's here again! Indeed, it's hard to believe that over a year has passed since last we had "The Amazing Journey".

I can still see the shock and anticipation on the faces of the children as they rounded the corner of the exhibition and met the fearless Goliath roaring at the top of his voice!

Or, as they listened to the story of Daniel being cast into the den of lions for praying to God three time a day - and then to see him appear from behind the exhibition screens and tell how God had delivered him!

The children really love the Bible stories; they listen attentively to God's Word and long to hear what is coming next. We are privileged to be able to reach these children in this way with the good news of the Gospel.

DATES: MONDAY 11 TO FRIDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2006

Once again we have the opportunity to take "The Amazing Journey" into five local primary schools, hopefully two of these for the first time. Please pray that this may be possible.

There are many jobs to do, from helping the children dress up in typical clothes from Bible times, to handing out food for the children to taste. Then there is also the assembling and dismantling of the exhibition itself.

Please pray for this important part of our outreach work

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Mt 19:14.

 NOEL SPENCE

We pray that the Amazing Journey, along with the literature distributed and the free New Testaments (provided on written request) will be used by God to bring men and women, boys and girls to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.

The Amazing Journey is a ministry to schools throughout Ireland organised by Baptist Youth, a department of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.  For more information regarding this ministry e-mail youth@thebaptistcentre.org or visit www.baptistyouth.org.
